Project Description

When Howard County Education Federal Credit Union was referred to us at Rosie’s Creative, their old website did not have the modern functionality that they needed in today’s banking industry. They were frustrated with their inability to make changes or updates and wanted a website that was mobile responsive to keep up with their client base. In need of a newer, more modern web presence, they also needed to balance affordability and high-level functionality.

Taking into account Howard County Education FCU’s many content management needs, we at Rosie’s Creative recommended WordPress as a cost-effective solution. By modifying a WordPress theme, we were able to affordably create a website that allowed them to be visually engaging on multiple platforms. WordPress also features a user-friendly dashboard which enables the client to easily modify site content and graphics, which allowed Howard County Education FCU to quickly update offers, rates, and news articles. These updates led to an increase in new enrollments by 20% in the first year!

While Howard County Education FCU wanted an updated design, they also wanted us to incorporate aspects of their original branding effort. We chose a color scheme based on the yellows and greens from their honeybee logo and included high impact imagery of honeycombs. To ensure the site would be visually engaging across all platforms, we kept the selection of fonts simple, clean, and easy to read, using internal marketing as a guide.
