Project Description

Looking to grow their business, Belly Dance by Amartia came to us at Rosie’s Creative for a website that was both creative and professional in appearance. They wanted a website that would be graphically beautiful and easy to navigate, that would also have an e-commerce element that would allow their clients to shop online. Moreover, they wanted a site that would be easy for them to use and modify themselves.

After looking at Belly Dance by Amartia’s needs, we at Rosie’s Creative decided on a WordPress site built with WooCommerce. The WordPress platform features a user-friendly dashboard which permits the client to easily modify and maintain the site content by themselves. WooCommerce, a free e-commerce plugin, has built-in functionality and is customizable, allowing the user to easily add more products, maintain product inventory, and adjust shipping costs as needed.

In designing Belly Dance by Amartia’s website, we wanted to reflect the client’s personal style as well as the industry. We started with an exciting and exotic color scheme that included feminine design elements. We also added hidden Greek elements to the design, in reference to our client’s Greek heritage. As for font choices, we chose fonts that were fun and flirty and used more fonts than standard in order to give the site an eclectic feel, but we carefully chose fonts that worked well together, to maintain a sense of cohesion.
