Project Description

Ostara Art is an art website featuring body positive works in mixed media. The artist came to Rosie’s Creative for a new logo that would successfully reflect their branding while being usable across multiple formats and social platforms.

Ostara Art’s focus is on inclusive expressions of sexuality in art. As part of our discovery process, we determined that flowing linework and mushroom motifs would best capture the artist’s unique art style. Working from those guidelines, the logo design for Ostara Art was created using one long sinuous line in the shape of a bust in silhouette. Colorful mushrooms were added to accent the silhouette’s figure at the shoulder, with a mushroom in place of the T in the artist’s name as well to provide a harmonizing connection among the logo elements. The colors were selected to evoke a sense of art in production, with black linework on a parchment-colored background and mushrooms in earth tones with pops of violet. The font was selected to be an easy to read sans serif with a hint of Art Deco curve to echo the curves in the linework.
